Methodology

We structure public rules from official government and border-authority sources and encode only conditions that can be represented reliably, such as passport issuer, age, height, document type, digital permission, membership or residence-document category.

Coverage gate

A system is included in the commercial checker only when we can identify a clear reuse basis for the source material. A useful rule is not enough by itself: we also need current provenance and a legally compatible source.

What we do not do

We do not decide whether a person may enter a country, infer private immigration status, or treat blogs and forums as rule-setting authorities. Ambiguous cases are shown as check needed rather than forced into a yes/no answer.

Freshness

The current rule set was manually reviewed on 15 September 2026. A verification date is not a promise that an authority cannot change a rule later the same day; always follow the linked official source before travel.
